The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is alarmed in regards to the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration website Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie here and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The services position established for intervention experiences a higher influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough for your Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and improve access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
